KAREN

FOUNDER

Prior to starting Playhood, Karen worked in community innovation in the context of urban and environmental regeneration, most notably in the wake of the 2012 London Olympics at LLDC.

She co-founded Echo, a skill-sharing network, currently being rolled out in the Ukraine, and holds a Masters degree in Environmental Systems Thinking. 

She is developing a specialism in children’s space design, combining insights from education, child development and biophilic design. Both Karen’s children attended Playhood.

 
 
 

GEORGIA

STRATEGY

Prior to joining Playhood with her son, Georgia worked in youth advocacy for organisations ranging from Amnesty International to Nike.

She brings a commercial background in research, strategy and marketing communications.

Georgia holds a Masters degree in Gender & International Relations, and has researched and written extensively about changing family life around the world.
